Hello, I’m trying to install Plex on my Apple TV 3, It is running TVOS 7.5 (8097). The Model number is A1427. My Apple TV Model is not supported by any jailbreak tools, Is there still a way for me to install Plex on my Apple TV? I’m doing this so i can get it connected to my NAS Plex Server.

Sounds like quite a project.
From a user experience point of view you might be better/easier off by simply going for a current Apple TV 4K 
As for the Apple TV 3… you could check out this blog post from 2013 and see if the given links help you – not sure any of this is still working.

I’ve setup PlexConnect on my computer and change my Apple TV’s DNS to the “IP_self” it gives me.
But now, When i open the trailers app, it says “Trailers is unavailable. Try again later.”.
Also when i add the profile “http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer”, The Apple TV says it’s unable to add the profile.
Any fixes/tips? Jack.
To my knowledge you can jailbreak any ATV3. You can jb & install PlexConnect following these instructions.
But if you prefer to install PlexConnect in you computer, you need to launch it before trying to load certificates. Are you using a Mac / Windows / Linux computer ? If you prefer to not jb I need the PlexConnect.log file.

I had the exact same issue. I had to downgade to 7.4 (apple is still signing the ipsw) and then the jailbreak (https://kubadownload.com/news/jailbreak-apple-tv-3) worked perfectly.

I have not installed certificates yet, or tested it on my NAS… hopeful though!

I’ve also reported the issue to the jailbreak author, let’s cross fingers that he will be able to modify his jb to support iOS 7.5

At the AppleTV dropdown list, choose version 8.4.3 for AppleTV3,1 (12H876). The 3,1 version is for the A1427.
BTW: I’m getting stuck with the certificates and I keep getting “iMovie Theater is unavailable. Try again later.”
Maybe someone can help with that.
Are you using a jb ATV3 ? Or a non-jb one ?
The install instructions for a non-jb one were made to intercept trailers. The instructions for a jb-one were made to intercept iMovie Theater.
Bingo! Trick here was to reboot and then use "localhost/iMovie.cer at the new profile prompt. Logged into my Plex account and voila, all my media appeared!
BTW: Using a jb ATV3 A1427, (now) running 7.4 (iOS8.4.3).
Also have to give a shout out to all the guys (and gals) who developed this and wrote up the instructions.
I am a complete NOOB at command-line and I got it working by copy and paste.

The author says that he’s not going to adapt the jailbreak to firmware 7.5 while 7.4 can be used.
