I wanted to start a thread about the new Apple TV 4K that was just announced today. I’m wondering if anyone has been able to test Plex with it and whether it will support DV/HDR for 4K playback as well as Dolby HD audio without having to transcode? I know currently that HDR10 content through Plex has a Moiré effect to it.
Given the new model is only due to sell from early November, you’ll probably need to wait for any qualified feedback on your question

Preordered one today. While I love my Shield TV, I would really like AppleTV to support this.
All reports are no Lossless audio passthrough.
The ATV will never support lossless audio passthrough.
The main function of the ATV since its inception in 2006 is to be an iTunes storefront to sell and rent media.
