Hi Everyone,

Have had a recent issue that is bugging me and I’m not sure on how to fix it. I am using Plex Media Server latest version on a WD My Cloud Home NAS playing back movies on 2 different Apple TVs in the home. (1x 4K, the other 1080p model) … both of which I am getting a problem in the past few days. All of my movie files will not play. I have tried to refresh the metadata on everything in both TV and Movie libraries. But when I try to play something on the Apple TVs, it sees the libraries fine, even plays the TV show music back on the menu, but I just get a spiral on a black screen for ages and then tells me that there is a Problem with my Media. I have since installed Plex Media Player on my Mac… plays fine there… and added the Plex app on my Samsung TV and that works fine too. So Im wondering if there is any setting on the Apple TVs I need to change or what I am doing wrong. Is it a bug since TVOS got updated? Or is there something that I need to change on my setup?

I’m no expert, but I have you tried in Plex for Apple TV, go to setting, and change local streaming to original or maximum. Just tried.

Exact same problem here. I installed Infuse on the ATV and that worked. really annoying.
