It looks like this is a lost cause but just want to add that I’m wanting this feature as well. All of my 5.1 music is getting squashed down to stereo PCM :frowning: Definitely hope this fix comes soon.

I’m also Jewish but might consider converting if that would help get this fixed! Happy holidays everyone. Got a feeling 21 is going to be a good year, especially if we can listen to Tommy in 5.1!

I’ll convert to whatever plays 5.1 properly on my ATV. :slight_smile: I can use VLC, but it is a horrible interface with no gapless playback. Oh, you were talking about religion. :wink: Never mind.

MrMC works better than VLC. Not as good as Plex but it’s the best solution I’ve found in the meantime.

I tried to test the free version of MrMC and it didn’t work. I’ve already bought into Plex and Emby. Not gonna buy into a third one unless I can see it actually work.

Well, no Christmas gift from Plex for us. I doubt there will be a New Years surprise. I guess we’ll just sit tight for a while. Everyone stay safe over the New Years.

I miss DaveBinM he hasn’t checked in since mid October. Not sure why but I always felt a little better knowing there was at least one Plex employee who was aware of this issue.

But as it’s a holiday period, most folks are away enjoying some much deserved time away from work, so there’s not really a lot to comment on at the moment. :man_shrugging:
