I wonder if the work done (presumably to the audio engine) on TVOS 15 to support the streaming of Dolby Atmos music through both headphones and HomePod speakers will enable 5.1 to work again via Emby and Plex?

Not a stupid question at all. I have a several year old Roku and tried to get multi channel music from Plex. I never got it to work, even though I believe it is supported. It could be the age of the unit though. Every so often, I think maybe I missed something and try again. Maybe it is time to waste a bit of timeā€¦ again. :slight_smile:

Iā€™m still using my XBOX ONE X for multichannel music via the PLEX app and it still works fine on there using 5.1 and quad flac files.

Still no sign of Multi Channel. How long is it? 27 months. 27 month? We canā€™t hold out much longer. We havenā€™t had any food since the 5th month. Weā€™re done for. Weā€™re done for.

@DaveBinM any update on this. Itā€™s functionality that we used to have and even the cheapest TVs with an App Store can provide. Would love to know the PlexPass is paying for something.

Wondering aloud whether things might work with the new ATV. I understand it supports more file types. Anyone have one?

Iā€™ve now switched to Roon running on a Mac Mini connected via HDMI to my receiver. Works wonderfully for surround albums playback. Donā€™t need to turn on the TV, either. Which is always a plus.
