It took us 2 years to get it fixed on Apple TV… I noticed it does not work on the Visio client, or the new Google Chromecast with Android TV… So yeah, it seems logical that it would not work for the shield either… Good luck. (you may want to start a new thread… This one is ancient and solved.)

Movies and music use entirely different player stacks. No one said it can’t be implemented, it’s just in the queue to be done, and upgrade the music playback engine and configure it for Android, as we had to do for Apple (although Android has additional complexities with different audio APIs).
Pretty pathetic that Firestick only plays audio files back in Stereo. Why is that not being fixed???
