If you wish to get the Plex Experience PREVIEW app on the AppleTV, the instructions I posted above should work. At least that’s how I got it on my AppleTV. Good luck in either case.
You are absolutely right! TestFlight wasn’t listing anything to me, but I re-followed the links to join and the build automatically appeared! Not sure what happened, but the Plex Experience Preview is back and up to date on my AppleTV!
Testflight isn’t listing anything for me either on Apple TV.
I’m signed up to both the “experience preview” and normal TestFlight betas but neither of them show on the Apple TV, and on iOS under the experience preview beta it shows “the developer removed the build you are testing”.
I’ve no idea what’s wrong with it. It used to work, I presume it’s either an Apple issue or something Plex hasn’t done properly.
Based on the number of people with this issue it would be nice if Plex would look into this.
iPhone/iPad should be on a beta “Plex” app with main Plex app icon. 2025.15.0(1053) expires in 78days.
AppleTV should be on a beta from the “Experience Preview” app.
Indeed, but that is not the case for me and others, so it would seem.
And I’m not risking removing myself from the Plex experience beta just to see if removing and re-adding works because TestFlight says it is full.
reboot, reauth, update to 18.5. Don’t leave testlight.
But reauth icloud. Couple rounds of it helped fix mine while back.
I managed to solve this last night. I was in a situation where the ATV Plex New Experience app was stuck on 2025.8.1 and not available in Test Flight to update, depsite my having downloaded it previously.
I had to reinstall the New Experience app on my iphone (I removed it when the preview finished) and then switch to the matching account on the ATV. Then in testflight the plex app re-appeared and could be updated.
