Hi guys. Probably like many others I take my (small) Apple TV 4K with me on trips. I can easily connect it to a TV and the internet when I am at my destination. This works well most of the time. However, the further away from home the more often I get a buffering indicator, the loading spinning. This is not due to overall internet speed, but the internet connection is a bit unstable. So, it is fast but only sometimes it is slower which then causes the loading spinner. Yes, of course the cause is the instability of the local internet connection at that moment in time. Since I am in a hotel at that moment, there is little I can do about it. So, is there a way to work around the internet instability and so avoid the loading spinner? There is 128GB of storage on the Apple TV 4K. So, is there a way to have a bigger buffer using more of that free storage? Since the buffer is local on the machine it should prevent loading spinners if the buffer is bigger. On the iPad and iPhone you can even download the entire media in PLEX for offline viewing. That would be a great option too for the Apple TV to prevent loading spinners completely.
