Apple TV has added ultrawide support. Their native TV app will fill an entire 21:9 monitor with the content instead of having the black bars. The plex app will keep a 16:9 ratio, and it will not let you zoom in by double tapping the controller (like zooming in on the HTPC app).
It would be nice to have our content fill the screen by applying the same zoom to fill feature from the HTPC app onto the Apple TV app!
Edit I just tried the plex experience preview app for the Apple TV. I see that there is a playback option to play original/zoom/etc. but this setting appears to do nothing. The other settings in the same submenu such as playback speed to work, but not the zoom setting.
