I hope you don’t really release the new experience with this awful new player, try using it with any type of subtitle or pausing to try an read a subtitle of something you just missed or even rewinding a few seconds to catch something you missed… This new player is unusable for anyone that depends on subtitles to enjoy any type of content.

I’ve stopped automatic updates on my Apple TV and hope it doesn’t update at any point in the future. If it does, with the app in its current state, I’ll have to switch to Infuse, which has a great player but other UI issues… compared to the “new experience” though… yeah, I’ll make the switch.
I watch all of my content with subtitles enabled, and I agree, it’s completely unusable. Absolutely broken.
What a sad moment.

I just want to also voice my opinion that plex should keep to the native video playback ui
I hate everything about the custom players I used so far (first and foremost YouTube)
