AppleTV shows what looks like debug data on upper left of screen

Server Version#:4.22.3
Player Version#:Latest AppleTV app

This happens on TV shows and movies that I have in my Plex library. Didn’t start until recently, possibly with the last server upgrade I did. Server is running Windows Server 2012.

I’m confused and don’t see a place where I can turn this off.

Mike.

That sounds like the debug overlay for the enhanced player. You can turn it off here:
Settings -> (Debugging) Show Enhanced Video Player Debug Overlay

I think you’re seeing it because the Enhanced Video Player recently became the default player.

Phillipsw - Thank you. I cannot find that particular settings on my server, or the client. I see a ‘Debug’ setting, but nothing that shows ‘(Debugging) Show Enhanced Video Player Debug Overlay’

Sorry for the dumb question. Obviously, I’m missing something here, or I am just brain dead today.

Could you point me to what I am doing wrong?

Thank you.

Mike.

It’s in the Plex app on your Apple TV. Navigate to settings (select your user in the top of the list on the left, click Settings) and then scroll all the way to the bottom of the list. Show Enhanced Video Player Debug Overlay is the 9th item up, from the bottom.

Thank you. Fixed the problem. Not the easiest or most intuitive thing to find, and I’m unclear HOW I turned it on in the first place, but it’s fixed now, and that makes my wife happy.

Mike.

No problem, glad it worked.
