Apps.plex.tv/desktop page does not load at work

Server Version#: 1.41.6.9685 (Synology DSMv7)
Player Version#: 4.145.1
I navigate to https://plex.tv and sign in. When I press the “open plex” button a new tab to https://app.plex.tv/desktop opens, but only shows a blank screen. In the web developer console I see the following errors:
Failed to find a valid digest in the ‘integrity’ attribute for resource ‘https://app.plex.tv/desktop/js/426-426-c7e40c6f6222116f2bc5-plex-4.145.1-90d6727.js’ with computed SHA-384 integrity ‘ifpUXlohNuvUQJ7d9mWdnLbJ2BSPFwjJjNlfnp0JzmgwLswtKvNa8TN7G3qCl7hH’. Is this my work’s firewall preventing the site from loading? It works from my phone.

I can’t tell based on those errors.
I consider it’s plausible that your employer isn’t overly keen on staff streaming media over their network… at least I know some companies that specifically forbid the use of any streaming apps (or websites) within the corporate network.

If you say it’s working on your phone… is that through the company’s WIFI (corporate), some Guest Internet Access or over your personal data plan?

My phone is using LTE. On my work PC I’ve tried using Chrome v136.0.7103.48 and Edge v136.0.3240.50 without success giving the same errors. However, other streaming services still work, but I would like to stream the music from my library as I have for quite some time.

You could ask your IT department.
Maybe somebody tried streaming high-bitrate 4K videos through the company network and clogged it during some critical time (favorite: fiscal year closure).

Out of curiosity, I clicked on both named .js files in the errors to find identical code where the first line is /* (C) Forcepoint 2023 */ trying to open the network proxy, so maybe something that Focepoint is injecting? It is too bad that it breaks Plex. I’ll check with my IT.
