Playback error when using "app.plex.tv/desktop" but not when using the "Open Plex" web version

Hey there, first time poster and long time Plex user. I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this issue.

Randomly today when I went into my “app.plex.tv/desktop” version of Plex on my Firefox browser (99.0.1 (64-bit)) I kept getting the error message below when trying to play any content:

" Playback Error

There was an unexpected error during playback. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems."

However when I go into the plex icon in the bottom right of the task bar and right click it to open the menu and click “Open Plex…” to get into the direct web version of the server the “http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/” I can play content without any issue.

I did try updating the server to the beta channel, this is why I’m on version 1.26. This didn’t fix the issue unfortunately.

If any has an idea of what could be causing this and some troubleshooting that would be great to hear. Hopefully this is an easy to fix issue.

I seem to have fixed this on my own. I went into the authorized devices list and unauthorized my web browser login. Then reloaded and re-logged in and now everything is working again.

I guess that means this thread can be closed, not sure if I can do that myself.
