April update broke Plex client

Player Version#: 8.15.1.23935

After updating the Plex client on my tablet to the current version last Friday, Plex won’t start anymore.

After displaying the animated Plex logo it just exits. No message, no log, nothing. It apparently doesn’t even try to connect to the server. At least, I can’t see any traffic between both on my network.

Reinstalling the client and restarting each didn’t help. And yes, there’s more than enough space left.

Interestingly, the client running off my Fire TV still works fine.

Any hint is greatly appreciated.
