From time to time Plex will start a recording late, which is not a huge deal for me as the things I record are generally re-aired again. However, I don’t see anywhere as to if Plex will overwrite a partial recording with a complete recording if it has the opportunity. Can any staff tell me if this is the case? If it is not, I would love to throw this in as a suggestion!
I don’t have a link or know which thread it is in, but a mod or dev did seem to confirm that plex will re-record partial recordings.
it is somewhere under this livetv-drv section, as I read it not too long ago.
If it’s flagged as a partial recording, then yes it should, i have just had one today
Show i recorded at 1pm was a partial, 28 mins instead of 30
It found the next airing (6pm) which recorded and then the partial one was deleted
