These issues are on windows tablets, but they are -not- an issue with windows or with the tablet. They are 100% Plex causing the issue. Just wanted to get that in so people don’t waste time!
Plex on Desktop (windows) - When you touch the ‘play’ button on a video, it acts as if you have pressed it twice. So it toggles to pause, and then back to play. The only way to pause with the button is to long-press it (which also opens the right-click menu). You can just tap the playing video to pause and play though, which is what I do, but sometimes you need/want to use the button.
Plex on browser (Edge) - Very similar issue. When you touch the ‘play/pause button’ it doesn’t work as expected. But this time instead of just toggling off/on once, it will go into a very fast loop of “pause/play/pause/play/pause/play” very quickly. Which actually makes the video continue playing at like 1-quarter speed, and is very annoying. You can’t stop it either, you have to completely stop the video and go back to dashboard and resume.
I’ve tested these both on several different machines, so it’s not an issue with my version of windows or on my hardware. It seems to be universal for the windows platform. I guess it’s not a huge priority as windows tablets were relatively rare (compared to android and ipads at least) but it’s been years of this behaviour and I can’t be the only person using plex on a tablet lol.
