This specific remote was developed for older versions of Plex and does not work with plex nine.
I have quite recently developed a new remote which automatically finds clients and servers for you, without the need of IP addresses and port numbers.

However finding your IP address can be quite useful in various situations so here are some guides.

The port number for Plex is normally 32400, unless you have specified something else.
