Plex Pass Lifetime, and Plex says Remote access is enabled, but it only works in Web Browsers

Server Version#: 1.41.7.9823
Player Version#: Android 2025.17.0

So I’m a PLex Pass Lifer, and I have my sever set up for remote access, and the server says my server is fully accessible from outside my network as seen from my screenshot below, but I can only successfully access my library remotely using the web browser. Using a browser I can play all my videos without issue remotely, but on any of the apps I’ve tried, (Android Phone, Android TV, Fire TV) it says my server is offline when I try view any of my content. I have browsed through these forums, as well as Reddit, and I’ve gone through the troubleshooting docs without resolution. Has anyone with this same issue been able to resolve it?

Sign out of / sign in to the Plex app on the remote devices.

That will force them to authenticate with plex.tv. Should also pick up that your server is online.

No change

I have the same problem, not able to do remote access on Android App

I can now confirm, downgrading my android app to the dec 2024 version immediately fixed my remote issues.

The new app is broken. It needs to be fixed.

Correct, @y2bogusplex

I have also checked though my wife’s Iphone with the new IOS app, it was working there too.

Now we all sure the android app is broken.

Has there been any acknowledgement of the issue from the devs? I’ve locked my app to the old version until there’s a fix.

I have the same issue since the app updated. I can remote access from a windows PC on different network, but IOS or Android apps cannot see the server or any Library. I have signed up for the 14day remote access trial. I cant find any solution. I assume the port forwarding is ok as I did not change anything on the router and I can aCcess from windows.
COME ON PLEX AND FIX THIS PLEASE!! LOOKING AT ALTERNATIVES NOW.
