Hello,
Does PLEX sort and put everything under the Artist or the Album Artist by default?

For example I want everything by “Alison Krauss” and “Alison Krauss & Union Station” to by under “Alison Krauss”. Will assigning Alison Krauss to the Album Artist tag field do this?

Yes. Precisely. Be sure to set both ‘Artist’ and ‘AlbumArtist’. For this example you set “Alison Krauss & Union Station” as ‘Artist’. That way the full name appears in the list of tracks of an album.

Thanks… I for some reason had this backwards and now have to figure out how to have it re-read everything in since I’ve corrected the tags. I think I need to do a Refresh All for this to work.

No. ‘Refresh all’ does something different.

You need to Plex Dance
(with music, you can omit step 4)
