How difficult would it be to implement an Artist/Year sort on the Album view in the music channel? That's my preferred method of viewing my albums. The "Artist" view is ok, I"ll just need to go through and fix the pictures that last.fm used for most of them, since they're all different aspect ratios.

It seems like you still can’t view your albums sorted by album artist > year (ascending) > album title. Really? Are there really only three others interested in this over the last five years? D:
I’d like to switch from iTunes to Plex for music so that I can play stuff on more devices, but this in addition to Plex ignoring ‘album artist sort’ tags and the lack of gapless playback in Plex Media Player make for a pretty unsatisfying experience for those of us with large libraries or any classical music.
2021 clean-up: implemented (default sorting by artist for albums will sort by artist name and display the albums per artist in release order).
