I was happy to see Release Date sorting added to the latest version for Album View.
But rarely does anyone I know use Album view to select their Music.
What I would really like to see is a sorting feature present inside the Artist Views.
1 - Go to Music, Select Artist View
2 - Select an Artist
3 - Then be able to select AlphaNum, Date Added, Date Released Etc...

Yes and I'm not suggesting Album View is not useful just wishing I could sort Artist Album view because it's much easier to find the song your looking when you know about when in their career they released it but hard to find when all jumbled based on AlphaNum sort.
If there was a Global Default Sort setting for Albums we could set that might work as well.
In Settings say Sort Albums by Release Date and both the Album View and Artist View would sort based on that setting.

I also would love to see this. I will often enter an artist folder and want to sort albums by release date because that is how I am most familiar with their music. I can figure it out by AlphaNum of course, but for some reason that doesn't feel as natural as a chronologically ordered listing of an artist's career. Please add this.
I'd been wondering why I felt so little love for Plex's music implementation and ultimately realised that it does seem to boil down to a very small number things as trivial as sequential sorting albums within artists.
They may be trivial to you, but they irritate the h*ll out of me... :-)
I personally think it is no more trivial than if TV Episodes were not displayed in chronological order...
Still hoping for impelemtation of sorting music albums by release date. My experience is that the PLEX Web App is still using the following hierarchy for sorting albums by a particular artist:
01 Year (ignores month/day)
02 Alphabetical
Preferred default would be by release date (including month/day), with a toggle to swtich back/forth to alphabetical.
