Artwork Changes - does it effect local assets?

One thing that won’t change is the ability for you to customize your posters and artwork for your personal media libraries which will still include the old defaults as options along with the plethora of other custom options that we provide.

I can’t tell from the post. Does this change in any way effect local assets, be it fanart or posters ?

This will not affect posters for existing personal media items which have been manually changed by you in the past or for items which you have provided custom images.
