Artwork for Albums

I know that this has been covered a billion times but none of the solutions are working for me. I am ripping my entire cd collection and adding them to PLEX. They are ripping just fine, but none of them are coming over with album art. I have checked the Agent settings, moved the preferred agents to the top, etc. but I still cannot get any artwork. It read in a ton of my movies just fine and included the artwork.

Any other suggestions to try for the albums?

Please provide the following basic information:
Where is your server running on?
Which version of the server?
Is it a basic music library or a Premium library?
How are your cover pictures present? Embedded or separate file?

Where is your server running on? Mac Pro (not a Mack Book Pro, the Mac Pro (black tube desktop model)
Which version of the server? Version 1.0.0.2261
Is it a basic music library or a Premium library? Premium Library
How are your cover pictures present? Embedded or separate file? I do not know, I am ripping them via iTunes which is sending them to an external hard drive which PLEX then picks the files up from. The artwork is showing up in iTunes when the cd’s are ripped.

I am no expert for iTunes.
But I am told that iTunes doesn’t embed the cover pictures into the files themselves, for Plex to use. Instead they are written somewhere into the iTunes internal data storage where Plex has no access.
So you must either rely on Plex to find a fitting cover art online or deliver them yourself as ‘sidecar’ files.

Seeing as you are using a Mac, you would greatly improve your music library experience if you downloaded Yate and worked your way through tagging your files properly. Along with tagging it would fetch the artwork from Discogs or Musicbrainz and embed it in your files for you

So with Yate, being that I already have quite a few albums already ripped and stored on the external drive, will PLEX pick up the tags that YATE applies to the files?

It should pick them up, as Yate embeds them into the music files themselves.
Just try this with one album.
The worst what can happen is that you have to perform the Plex Dance with this album.

I am experiencing the same problem with artwork not downloading for albums. It didn’t used to be a problem until a couple of upgrades ago when it just stop retrieving them.

I run the latest version of Plex Server (1.7.5.4035 at the time of typing) on Ubuntu Server 16.04.2

I rip CDs on the server using ripit and store them: Artist\Album\TrackNumber TrackName

I have enabled all agents for artists and albums for Personal Media Albums, Plex Premium Music and Last.fm

Does anyone have any ideas why the artwork isn’t coming through for music (it works fine for shows and movies).
Thanks
