Is there a way to force a library to use landscape posters instead of portrait?

I have a library of videos and all the poster art provided is in landscape. I would like to have the be able to select the orientation for the library.

If this isn’t a thing, is there a way I could request this feature?

None that I know off.

Libraries of the type “Other Videos” use landscape in most client types.

Plex can’t seem to make up their mind which way they want to go with Other Videos and a library wherein a grabbed thumb is very likely the ONLY artwork - every single client is different so users sit around and play tiddly-winks with their artwork:

How Plex decided that Posters are best for Other Videos is a complete mystery, but Plex is nothing, if not mysterious.

I only see Landscape in Recommend view, Otto, can you please explain…

Other Video are in different formats in different views? Thanks Juice.

The library poster view mode doesn’t provide landscape yet.
This software component will be updated later this year. It will then provide landscape thumbs in an Other Videos library, just like the other client types.

Thanks for the privy news, a surprise to all I expect…

News release: Landscape posters are coming to Plex

Will this be true for other clients and/or the web viewer too? I’m interesting in tracking this update as well.

I’m tracking what’s likely to happen in the New Continue Deck in a few months/years when the bug list gets down that far:

I predict:
What we see is what we get.
