Hopefully someone can help here. Can I first start by stating that I am NOT technically minded what so ever, so if you do try and help can you please do it in NON technical language that I can understand as it will just go over my head complete… Thanks in advance.
Ok, I have run a Plex server for over 10 years so I can share films and stuff with my family and have had it running no problems what so ever. Yesterday I installed a brand new Asus XT8 mesh system to give me great wifi coverage all over the house… It does beautifully…
However, my friend in Liverpool contacted me last night stating that sh could not get Plex working. I checked and it said,
" Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network".
I checked and tried restarted it, it came on for around 15 seconds, then went off again.
I read some instructions and it said that uPnP or NAT-PMP need to be one. I checked my Virgin Media setting and uPnP is on. The thing is, I cannot find these settings or anything like them in the Asus setup screen.
Can anyone help me that has had a similar problem, or, knows how to fix this issue and tell me exactly what to do in simple human terms?
Thanks
Les
