Hey folks.
I recently moved to a new house and upgraded my internet to AT&T Fiber. I’m running their modem in bridge mode (using this method) and using eero WiFi 6 units as my routers. I’m also connected directly from the eero to a Synology DS920+ NAS.
I share my Plex server with my inlaws and they’ve had no issues streaming on my previous network connection (Xfinity 1Gbit down / 30Mbps up). Now that I’ve switched to AT&T Fiber (1Gbit down/up), they’re suddenly experiencing buffering issues.
Are there any recommended settings I should be changing or updating to solve this? When I do speed tests I get a full signal and it’s strong/stable, so it’s not like the connection is jacked up. So there must be a config problem somewhere in the mix.
For some reason, if they select “Play at 1080p” it seems to work, but most of the files are 1080p to begin with, so it shouldn’t matter. I don’t know. I’m confused.
Appreciate the advice.
