I am trying to play Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos from my Windows PC connected to a Vizio TV, passing the audio through to Atmos soundbar with HDMI-ARC. The TV identifies the incoming signal as stereo only, and the soundbar shows the same.
If I connect the computer directly to the soundbar instead, then it works fine and I can get DD+ and TrueHD with Atmos no problem.
If I connect a Roku to the same TV input it will play DD+ Atmos just fine (even using the very same source file in Plex). So I guess the computer is not detecting the soundbar’s capability. I don’t know if this is caused by Plex, Nvidia driver, or Windows OS. Is there a log file that might shed some light on the subject?
Windows Control panel shows different capabilities depending on whether I connect to the TV or the soundbar. But both of them say it supports DD+.

Configuration
Windows 10 20H2
Plex Player 1.24.0.1483
Nvidia driver 456.71
Nvidia GTX 1080Ti sending HDMI to the TV/soundbar
Vizio OLED65-H1
Vizio SB36514-G6
P.S. The reason I am trying this instead of connecting to the soundbar is that when do it that way, it will not work at UHD 60Hz with HDR.
