There’s already an existing feature suggestion asking to (better) support this. There’s obviously certain restrictions to natively play/pass-through most instances of the format.

Apple TV Dolby Atmos support

Please include Dolby Atmos support on Apple TV.

There’s another suggestion asking for unsupported formats to be transcoded to a supported Atmos flavor

[Feature Request] Apple TV True HD transcode to EAC3 Atmos

Apple TV does not (and most likely never will) support True HD. It does, however, support Dolby Atmos lossy via EAC3. Is it possible to get Plex to transcode in real time the True HD stream into EAC3 keeping Dolby Atmos? I get that it will transcode a lossless format into a lossy format, but that is much better than the current situation where it is transcoded to 5.1 and we lose Atmos. Many of us also have a SONOS ARC to consider in this configuration. The SONOS ARC does not support LCPM. They …
