Please include Dolby Atmos support on Apple TV.
Agreed, Infuse already has this feature and would be great to finally get this on the Apple TV

I just setup my new Apple TV with my Sonos surround sound system, and find out that the Plex app on Apple TV does not support Dolby Atmos… What’s that about?
The Plex app on my Samsung TV supports Dolby Atmos, so why not the Plex app on Apple TV. The Infuse app on Apple TV supports Dolby Atmos, so why not the Plex app on Apple TV?

I just got an Apple TV because the UI is terribly slow on the Plex app on my LG TV. Now that I found out Dolby Atmos doesn’t work, it means I’ll have to go back to the slow app… This makes no sense. Why doesn’t it support Dolby Atmos? What’s holding it back?
I am also very confused about this. I don’t understand why my latest Apple TV and my paid Plex do not support Dolby Atmos.

It’s due to Apple TV metal API, who isn’t supported by Plex now
As I know, they’re working to implement this API actually, but the first purpose is to fix the performance issue during some media playing
When this will be implemented, I expect the Atmos support has the next development
