Attn: .RBW Ruby on Windows developers - assistance requested

If anyone knows who the .RBW (Ruby on Windows) developers are with Plex, would you please PM them the link to this question?

I have a Seagate SRN21C. It has the App Manager, available on the Web UI, which allows for 3rd party Apps.

I wish to update ownCloud, but ownCloud’s website does not have the .rbw file available on the website, and their developers on their web forum didn’t know how to do it - someone else must have packaged it and provided it to Seagate. Therefore, I’ve come here, since apparently there is a Ruby on Windows developer here.

My question for a RBW developer is: How does one package a tarball with RBW?
I wish to learn, so that when future updates ignore or forget RBW, I can do it, myself. (The RBW available for ownCloud is still v6, even though they’re on v8.) Also, taking other programs and packaging them for upload to Seagate could be useful, perhaps even to submit to Seagate for others to benefit.

Apparently, the Web UI does not allow the Admin user to access any root folders, that I might just find where ownCloud is installed, and install the website-provided tar, myself. So, it seems that packaging RBW is my only option left.

I have installed RubyGems and Codelite, since my (exasperating) research into how to solve this problem seems to have suggested that I’ll need those two programs. My goal is to end up with a completed Armv7 RBW that can be imported in and usable through Seagate’s App Manager.

External contact info available upon request, in case it goes beyond the scope of this forum. Thank you.

Might wanna go here instead, since your Q in no way is related to Plex:

@dane22 - That’s why I included the last bit, right there at the bottom of the post.
Seagate’s support page doesn’t provide information on how to do this.
If you want to know how to make pizza, it’s most effective to ask a chef who’s making pizza.

True, but with above, this forum if for 3.Party development towards plex, and not a generic developer forum for all kinda development. ( Even though the title of the forum could mislead here  )

@dane22 - Ok, that got past me. Yes, I did just pick this forum based upon the title, without looking any further into it. I’ve wasted so much time trying to configure this and asking people from different support channels, that when I signed up here, I jumped right into the question and didn’t pay any attention to what the other conversation topics were.

Well, I’m going to bookmark this convo, just in case a RBW developer is willing to help. I guess I’ll be off, asking other people, then. Thanks.
