Love to see my Plex server content integrate with the Apple TV’s new TV app any chance Plex
I think there’s already a thread for this feature request.
Also I am unaware of any third-party app that integrates with Apple’s TV app and personal media files. I don’t think it’s really something Apple is going to want to allow…
I’m testing tvOS 12.3 beta 1, and the new TV app can search for titles across dozens of my other streaming apps, including smaller ones such as Classix. Hopefully this can be added to Plex app soon?
Do any of those “streaming apps” incorporate or otherwise “stream” personal media files?
It seems not, currently. I checked the InFuse forums and it’s on their future feature list, but maybe dependent on Apple relaxing the API restrictions.
Yeah, that’s been my point… I don’t think Apple allows this now and I think it’s unlikely it will in the future (for whatever that’s worth 
)
