I need help with PlexConnect. I’m running Windows 10, Python 2.7.15 and downloaded the most recent plexconnect from Github. I have followed the instructions on all the posts about installing plexconnect on ATV2 (I believe). When I launch PlexConnect.py, some ways down I get:

Jun 25,2018 21:24:10 WebServer: Failed to connect to HTTPS on 192.168.1.138 port 443: [Errno 10013] An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions

I have used several port displays and found that the only thing listening on port 80 or on 443 is python. I have seen others post about the World Wide Web Publishing Service. That is not started/installed on my system I would really like to get this resolved with a minimum amount of hairloss/head injury due to beating my head on my desk.

Thanks in advance for your help. I have been loving Plex since my friend turned me onto it about 5 months ago. I’m looking forward to being able to watch on my 40in TV

Additional information: I’m running Plex Server version 1.13.0.5023, on Windows 10 professional. i have removed plexconnect and the certificates, redownloaded plexconnect (version 0.6-250218), recreated and reinstalled the certificates, I have adjusted my vpn to be on port 1164 instead of 443. and after all of that I am STILL getting that error. Someone PLEASE help me get this setup

Maybe you have installed PlexConnect as a service, and are also trying to run it in a command line. You can run only one PlexConnect instance, either service or command line.

The only plex related service on my system is the Plex Update Service for my Media Server. Can the Media Server and plexconnect be run on the same system?

Yes, PMS and PlexConnect can be installed in the same computer.

Use services.msc to investigate running services.

no, plexconnect is not listed as a service on the system

Did you install PyWin32 ? If yes, you probably have PlexConnect running already.

no. i installed Python x64 2.7.15 directly from the python site and did not install the additional pywin32. I would like to find out what is going on and the best way to correct this, so i can get plexconnect running and viewable through my atv2
