I wonder if plex will be on this. Well at least apple has some competition hopefully it will drive them to get gaming working as soon as possible. I would love to see some gaming on these devices. It’s one of the features that aTV definitely lacks as well as a AppStore. Emulators would be also great like Mame or something else.

If this comes with gaming, hbogo eventually and already has showtime anytime I might just jump ship. I’m sick of getting useless apps the only good thing on my appletv is plexconnect if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t even use it. No App Store yet, hbogo is the only premium app so far. This is just taking to long for apple to get going. Plus this looks a lot faster, it will probably get rooted, and showtime would be great to have. Why is apple dragging their heels. They are about to get passed up. This has my vote so far, I’m sick of apples lets slowly roll out devices so you can buy a new one every two years philosophy. I want a device that has some power. At $100 this is looking pretty good to me.

You can't really compare a product that does not exist (yet) to another.

I wouldn’t call those “specs”, it is an Ad that neglects to list who has iTunes, iTunes Radio, Podcasts, Airplay, etc. (especially Airplay).
Thats not ATV4 spec, looks like existing ATV3 spec.
There is no ATV 4.

I know hence why I was indicating the referenced specs were not ATV4.
All I’m saying is this looks pretty nice so far compared to the 2/3. Atv4 is all speculation as is so it’s hard to say for sure what it will be compared to this. But I think this would be a nice client if the atv4 doesn’t have a App Store upon release. It’s just informational, that is all. As the atv2/3 has been going memory wise you would assume the 4 would only be doubled yet again bringing it to 1024mb. I just wanted to show everyone about this before they get a atv4 in case this may be a better bang for your buck.
@institue11 personally I barely use airplay or podcasts. I’m sure other users may but I mainly use my atv2/3 as a tv provider using plexconnect. I cut the cord. There is some missing specs but for the day after the release of the "fire tv I think this is good “spec comparison” in regards to hardware and whatnot. Also if they are going to release 1000+ apps I don’t see how this could not be a awesome little media streaming box.
Does anyone know if you can use an IR remote? It seems to be only bluetooth, which is great. I'm wondering how to integrate this box with my Harmony remote.

I like the voice search and no Los feature. It will kind of suck if that’s the only remote you can use but I would imagine they will have a app or a way to control it from various devices hopefully. Maybe a ir sensor will be on it still. I’m sure more info will be released about it as time progresses.
Anyone have fire tv? Can they show me what plex looks like on there?
