Audio ahead of video firestick NAS

Continuing the discussion from Buffering on Amazon Fire Stick 4K:

Apologies if this is not the best place, but am in need of assistance. I have a new NAS setup (ASUSTOR AS5304T) that I am using Plex to stream across a LAN to firetv and firesticks. The FireTv is gen 2 and the sticks range up to 4K. The issue I encounter is in video playback. Most of my movies are MP4 with anywhere form 2 ch to 5.1. But for all movies, the audio starts in sync with the video, but after 5 to 10 minutes, the audio gets ahead of the video and then in about 25 to 30 minutes the audio stops all together. I have tried pass through in the plex app on the sound but it still does not help. I assume that the video is trying to transcode, but when I look at the playback menu during one of the movies it indicated direct playback. Any suggestions? Thank you
