Movies that have audio ddp 7.1 on plex it only shows as 5.1. A fix? I have a JBL sound bar 9.1 but movie only plays the 5.1
Which Plex client and how is it connected to the sound bar?
Does the soundbar show how many channels it is receiving?
Plex does not recognize DDP 7.1 audio. It is displayed as DDP 5.1.
However, depending on the client, it may pass 7.1 audio.
I’ve a Nvidia Shield Pro feeding a Denon 4300 receiver. The Plex app on the Shield shows the audio as DDP 5.1. However, the Denon channel map shows it is receiving 7.1 audio.
