Audio Ducking Broken in Plexamp 3.4.2 (Android Auto)

As the title says, I upgraded to Plexamp 3.4.2 on my Samsung S10+ and the audio ducking feature seems to be broken in Android Auto now. When a notification, or navigation sound plays, plexamp completely pauses instead of just ducking the volume a little. @elan just wanted to tag you for visibility.

Please post logs right after this happens. We should be processing ducking if the system tells us to duck.

Update: Ducking may be working after all… I just tested on my phone with the Android Auto app (not connected to car head-unit) and everything was working fine. It might just be a fluke thing that happened this morning. I will be driving home in a few hours so I will try it out again connected to my car and report back.

Unfortunately it is not a fluke. I tried again in the car and got the same behavior. I did a ton of troubleshooting so i hope that all this data helps.

My current setup is a Galaxy s10+ plugged into a UConnect 8.4 head-unit via the built-in USB in my Dodge Challenger. I run Waze and JBV1 along with Plexamp. JBV1 displays on my phone and Waze is up on the radio screen. Typical operation up until the update to 3.4.2 would be Plexamp playing music, if Waze or JBV1 talk or make a sound, plexamp ducks the music until the notification is over, as expected. With this latest version, i noticed that not only does the music pause and not duck, but it also sometimes completely kills all audio to the radio (so complete silence instead of hearing the notification). turning the volume up on the radio un-pauses the music and allows the notification to be heard, but it just pauses shortly after, once another notification comes in.

I have a video of this behavior here (I used the demo feature of JBV1 bc it produces alot of notifications without me having to text myself): https://youtu.be/Mh0O_dnEInk

I pulled the logs from this exact moment that i was shooting the video. Those are here: 14047086628285.zip (127.2 KB)

Note that in the logs you want to start looking around 5:00PM/17:00 as that was the exact moment i was doing the test.

Lastly, I have rolled my app back to 3.4.1 (from APKMirror: Plexamp 3.4.1 (arm64-v8a + arm-v7a) (nodpi) APK Download by Plex Labs - APKMirror) and everything is again functioning perfectly.
