Hello,
I have been having issues with ducking since upgrading to 3.4.1 and 3.4.2. I don’t have logs for 3.4.1 because the issue wasn’t too frequent to be bothered by it, but I have since been driving 6 hours a day and listening to PlexAmp after upgrading to 3.4.2 and it has become far more apparent. I am connecting to my car stereo with bluetooth, and not using android auto. I am always playing downloaded music. I am on a limited shared data plan and unable to test this while streaming, so I have only experienced it with downloaded music.
What has been happening is that sometimes it ducks correctly and sometimes it does not. What will happen is that it will duck, lower volume, then pauses instead of raising the volume. I have had it happen to both app notifications and google navigation. It will be working fine for most of my navigation directions but every once in awhile it will stop playback.
This is a log that had the issue come up multiple times when using google maps turn-by-turn navigation: 26889882793419.zip (151.6 KB)
I performed a more controlled test by playing the song Deftones - Phantom Bride. What I did was I pressed play on PlexAmp, went to google maps and started navigation, then I clicked on a new route which triggered the navigation voice. During this song the audio ducked twice. The first time it worked successfully and resumed playback. The second time it paused the audio. I performed the test at 17:41: Deftones - Phantom Bride Test.zip (176.4 KB)
I would like to note that when I was using 3.4.0 audio ducking worked flawlessly for me. In fact, it was the main reason I decided to continue paying for the monthly Plex Pass. All of my complaints about my previous music server/app (subsonic+dsub) were solved when I tried out PlexAmp. So, I am hoping that my logs can help with a bug fix
Thanks for your time!
