Server Version#: 1.19.3.2764
Plex for LG Version#: 3.13.28
webOS Version#: 1.4.0
All available audio types enabled in settings on TV app.
Occasionally I play a video on my TV where the video is fine but no audio plays. If I play the same video in the web app on the Windows PC hosting my Plex Server or in the Plex App on my iPad, the audio plays as it should.
If I copy the file onto a USB stick and plug it into the TV then play the video with the built-in player, the audio doesn’t play either.
Looking at codec info of the video in VLC it shows
Codec: A/52 Audio (aka E-AC3) (eac3)
Type: Audio
Channels: 3F2M/LFE
Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Bits per sample: 32
but strangely, the previous episode of the show, where the audio did play in Plex on the TV, the codec info is exactly the same.
Is there something I can do in the Plex Media Server settings to ensure that files are encoded correctly for my TV? Or something else I can do to fix the problem?
