I, like A LOT of users I’ve seen here, am having audio lag when using the Windows player and my Bluetooth earbuds, as well as the app on my Samsung TV and the web app. It’s only .3 seconds slow, according to VLC Media Player, which I have to use, because Windows Plex doesn’t allow for “off-time” audio. Lag has been there, no matter what version of the players or server I’ve been on at the time.
Why hasn’t this ever been a priority for PLEX? When will it be? When will an option be included to allow for it?
I think I remember reading here that the HTPC version will allow users to adjust for lag, but HTPC doesn’t work for me. It loads up fine, but I can’t scroll through anything. I can select the different icons on the side, but, once the screen updates with that choice, my window won’t move.
That works. But it’s kind of archaic that way. Almost pre-Windows.
I don’t really see a way to pull in my different categories (movies, TV shows, audio) like I could in “regular” PLEX. Everything I’ve watched, in the order I’ve watched things, is displayed, so I have to scroll all the way through to find a show I haven’t watched for a while…or search for it. I didn’t see anything in the sidebar menu or the setup screens to do that.
Oops. Never mind. I just didn’t click around on everything enough. I found it.
A bit too limited and clunky compared to Plex. I’d rather just check off the episodes I watch in Plex and use VLC to watch things. Much easier to fine-tune the audio and move around in VLC.
But it would be nice if the developers would actually build something into the web and Windows apps to account for lag.
