For several months now I’ve been experiencing a weird and reproducible audio sync issue in PMP for Windows. Here are the details of a pretty normal example…
Plex on Apple TV, TiVo and LG TV play the movie just fine. Windows PMP, running on same PC as Plex server, plays same 7.1 TrueHD track very out of sync, using direct play and passthrough audio to receiver. PMP Widows plays the 5.1 AC3 track without any sync issue. Using Nvidia card with native 24P resolution to TV and all movies are 24P as well.
Now the weird part, if I go to the Plex server and refresh the metadata for just that one movie, the next time PMP plays the movie audio sync is fixed. If I trying refreshing metadata for all movies in library, I still find audio out of sync in PMP for multiple movies. Refreshing just that movie again fixes the audio sync for PMP.
I welcome any ideas to try to resolve this one and can provide any additional details or logs required.
