I am using an Adroid TV box connected to my SamsungTV via HDMI cable.
I have external stereo speakers connected to the Android TV box A/V port 3.5mm jack.
Every app (except Plex Live TV/DVR) i run, the audio works fine either via the external speakers or the TV speakers via HDMI cable. Only the PLEX app will not play via the external speakers and i can not find a way to change that. It only plays audio through the HDMI and pass through must be turned on. I don.t see any option in the player setting to change that.
EDIT: It seems it is only HDHR tuner LiveTV/DVR recordings not playing audio out the A/V port and there are AC3 stereo audio tracks, if i go to plex News or Web Shows or Plex Live TV the audio works fine.
Is there a way to tell the plex app to send audio to the A/V port of the android box also or to only send it there?
I searched the forum and found this link below, and a few other about editing a file to force audio changes, can someone point to more info about that
The reason i ask is my TV speaker don’t sound good, they vibrate, distort, etc… and if i connect the external speakers to the TV external audio port i can not change the volume without going to the speakers to adjust it.
But with the external speakers connected to the android TV box i can adjust the volume with the remote. But only the Plex app is not working that way, it needs to use the tv speakers so i had to turn them back on to use it.
