Audio Output setting linked to hotkey?

Is there a way to map the Audio Output setting to a hotkey?
Hello all,

I was wondering if there's a way to link a pref action to a hotkey? Namely the "Audio Output" setting under Audio.
I wish to be able to quickly swap between HDMI audio and Optical out on my mac mini 2010 as it seems there's no way to play both at the same time.
If I could change this quickly via a hotkey all my problems would be solved.

Is there any way to do this?

Regards,
Simon

Hi there,

Can you explain this a little more? I’ve been trying tonight but can’t work it out.

You mention XBMC, does this work in Plex also?

Could you copy and paste exactly what you have in your text file please?

Thanks again for the reply!

Best regards,

Simon

Check this out, applescript to switch audio output

Then you should be able to assign your applescript to hotkey using this method

Let me know how it goes.
