Recently whenever I try to watch a movie on my Sony Bravia Smart TV (Android TV) through my Sony Soundbar (sa-ct290) I get no audio unless I change playback settings to convert to 1080p HD 8Mbps. Original quality or convert automatically makes no difference. If I switch to my TV speakers the audio works fine without having to change playback settings.
If I use another player, like on my Mac or Amazon Firestick I have no issues with audio whatsoever.
Soundbar is connected by HDMI ARC - I’ve also tried fibre optic but no difference.
