Hi, I’m having trouble getting DTS transcoded to AC3. I’ve switched off DTS and DTS-HD in HTPC’s Audio settings but the Plex Server still states that the audio is being direct played. Debug mode in HTPC shows:
Codec: dca (DCA (DTS Coherent Acoustics))
Bitrate: 1,510,004
Channels: 5.1(side) → stereo
Output driver: wasapi
I am really getting confused whether to believe the Dashboard on the server which is stating that it’s direct playing, or it’s transcoding to stereo.
I cannot play DTS as my Samsung TV doesn’t support it and my Arc only supports DTS, not DTS-HD.
Can anyone help please? I’ve spent ages trying to alter different profiles - I’m not sure which one is used for Plex HTPC - is it “Windows”, “Plex Home Theater”, “Windows 10 Desktop”? Is there a way to see this in debug mode in HTPC?
