Hello - I’m running my Plex Server on a QNAP NAS and at home it works wonderfully. I’ve had to spend a lot of time at my office lately, so I upgraded the room to a TCL TV with Roku built-in, and a Sonos Arc, Sub and Surrounds. This is my first foray with remote, transcoded material. With my Sonos setup, I’m looking to hear surround, but whatever I do, I get a stream that is downconverted to stereo. I have looked around the setting in both the client and the server and can’t find anything that I have set wrong. I must be overlooking something obvious. Any help greatly appreciated!!!
audio settings are handled by the Roku/TV itself not the app. In Settings>Audio
Thanks, but the Roku settings are good for surround. I get full 5.1 with Netflix and some other apps.
Plex is showing MP3 stereo - convert
Scroll down to the video or audio where it says convert that then at the bottom it should say why it is converting
