Audiobook in Plex

Hi,
I have a large collection of inspirational Audiobooks which I’ve being wondering if its possible to add them to Plex.
My Question is; is there any way that can be possible?
Because I can’t see any provision being made.

Help Needed.

Plex does not support audio books. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t create them yourself. Organize the files as you would a regular music album. I’ve actually done this for some audio book series I have. The Series is the artist, each book is an album, and each chapter/disc is a track. I then found an image of the Series to use as the artist cover and each book cover for the album. For books that are not in a series, I have Arthur/Book/chapters.

It can look like this

There is an audible agent available if you search on the forums that has great metadata for the books

Doesn’t mean we don’t need native support @“MovieFan.Plex”

Native support would be awesome but we would need a metadata source to gather the info from. Know of any? An open source one like TheTVDB, TheMovieDB would be best. We can’t use audible without working out some sort of arrangement with them. i.e. $$$. We’d kill their servers with the potential number of requests.

Thanks for responding  For most books there is in reality very little need for metadata - Also Last.Fm is bizarrely not a terrible metadata source. Here is the same book i posted higher up matched against last.fm.

Only thing lost is the description of the book…not really a big deal as a baseline

The main thing needed is the ability to virtually combine multiple audio files into one virtual file. Instead of a list of tracks plex should be able to combine them into one that functions more like a tv episode

Most of the work is already done - there is already store track progress and multiple play speeds
