I have an Audiobook Series comprised of 10 books by one author. I used MP3tag to tag them like I do the MANY (60+) other series I have with no issue.
[I have 2 Plex servers running (for redundancy and also to separate my content from the family’s) reading from my Synology NAS. One server is on a Win10 machine and the other is running from the NAS itself.]
This one book (in this case Book 8) REFUSES to populate in my Windows server but does show up in the NAS listing. I’ve tried everything I can think from the Plex “dance”, to rebooting the windows server. I’ve even converted the files in Book 8 from MP3 to FLAC and WMA with no luck.
Am I going to have to delete the library and start again? Would like to avoid that if possible since I did some custom merging and have many collection tags setup so I thought I’d ask.
Thanks!

I think I got it. I went back to it and inspected the folders and - as you suggested - I saw some naming inconsistencies in the folders that I didn’t think would be a big deal but I cleaned them and now it seems to be good go. Threw me for a loop since some of my other books are a bit messy in terms of folders and it scanned them fine but I think I just took it for granted.
What’s odd is it almost seems like folder naming convention is more important than the file itself? At least in the case of books with individual chapterized files.
