Audiobooks - Please add Audiobooks (natively) to Plex

Long time Plexer. Please add Audiobooks to Plex (natively).

I’m sick and tired of manually editing tags (1500+ audiobooks), and I’m still missing descriptions and data from anyway. Plex can do this so much easier and better than I can.

It’s been raised before, but its drifted down the list, can’t find any feature requests for it in the last year. Did people give up asking Plex for it?

Even so, Audiobooks … please add Audiobook feature to Plex.

This would make the platform complete. Film, TV, Music and Audiobooks.

You’d capture a lot more people with this feature too!

No, that’s still an active and rather popular suggestion. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes by raising the same suggestion again. I’ll therefore close this thread as a duplicate.

Support for audiobooks

remember the play position for audiobooks also. especially now as it is possible to sync them and take them with you. [Edit Mod] This post is also asking for an audio book specific library type separate from music library. While remembering position is part of a Music library, Audiobook could help with other features like chapter selection, books covers, publishers, etc, which is not possible in a Music library.
