Audiobooks - support for a 'Resume' feature?

Totally agree.  Plus they need a category just for audio books instead of having to select music.

+1 for audio book feature - then it would serve all my needs :)

I would also like to see this feature added.

please please please add this to plex !

I just tried to add some audiobooks to plex, and quite frankly I was surprised that there wasn't already a built in audiobook library type w/ the proper meta data providers.. +1 to adding this feature ASAP

I have posted this request here: http://goo.gl/AKyQei I think that if we all give this maximum votes we can actually get this feature developed.

Anyone have trouble with audio books and actually getting it to replay past the 3/4 hour mark?

I have been using Plex for audio books for some time but lately I've used it daily on multiple devices.  I constantly have to write the chapter and time I left off at on my hand between each and when I forget to do so I end up searching endlessly for where I left off.  Audio books having their own section with there own standardized sorting options would be great but being able to have a resume feature for the music section in the mean time would work.

I know the Plex team is VERY busy and they are doing a fantastic job.

+1. Would be great to be able to manage my audiobooks in plex.

Agree with all the above.  I know of whole communities what are dying for a good audiobook media server.  It seems like a quick win for Plex to use the existing music player and add a bookmark feature found in the video section.  Heck make it a plex pass feature and attract a ton of new customers.  It would be filling a huge gap.  I know that there aren't any good media scanners to gather information for files but we would all be happy with personal media assets scanner.  Also I've written my own media scanner using goodreads the api along with audible.  It's actually pretty easy.

I agree, please officially support Audiobooks with movie like resume functionality.

Also while you at it, we need a dedicated metadata agent (LastFM won't cut it, Amazon maybe? If they do offer Scrapper API) and official naming convention - this would be a good start > http://www.ebsco.com/apps/assets-publishers-materials/EBSCO_Audiobook_Submission_Guidelines.pdf

Indeed 2 new options (in Library/Edit/Advanced) in audio libraries (that would typically contain Podcasts or Audiobooks files etc) to allow resume, and show on "On Deck" would be great.

+1 for an audiobook library type!
