Plex will NOT save the auto-log in option.
Just updated program today.
Still will not save auto-log in setting.
ALWAYS clear cache, cookies, etc… everyday.
I want to know how to fix this.
When I choose “Automatically Sign In” in Plex settings and “Save Changes”. I expect those changes to save. They are not. WHY?
do you have your browser set to delete cookies/site data after the window or browser is closed?
yes why?
auto log in is a player setting which is saved in the browser for that URL. It isn’t an account or server level setting. If you have it browser set to delete the site data then it will revert to defaults.

Having the browser decide what Plex settings it will or will not save, is not an acceptable software design in my book. And I think Plex programmers need to correct that. My argument is If I set Plex up by changing settings to what I want, the Plex “Program” should save those settings…not the browser. Anyways, I will search thru the browser and find methods to stop it from doing this while still allowing me to remove unecessary cookie data
